SAP rollouts and finance processes at an international retail group
Multi-year support of SAP FI/CO and MM rollouts across multiple waves and countries – covering R/3 and S/4HANA, BPMN process design and the first RPA in finance.
Challenge
An international retail group had to roll out SAP FI/CO and MM country by country in staged waves – in parallel with the migration from SAP R/3 to SAP S/4HANA. At the same time, finance and goods-accounting processes had to be harmonised, documented and progressively automated across countries.
Approach
Supported the SAP FI/CO and MM rollouts in Germany, Slovenia, Switzerland, Hungary and Italy across multiple waves from 2018 onwards – on both SAP R/3 and the SAP S/4HANA target stack. Process design and optimisation in finance and goods accounting for Germany, the USA, Australia, the UK, Ireland, Austria, Slovenia and Switzerland. Analysis and re-modelling of international business processes in BPMN. Set up the first Robotic Process Automation in finance for Germany in 2020.
Result
Consolidated international finance and goods-accounting processes on a modern SAP S/4HANA base, standardised BPMN process maps and the first automated routine workflows in finance. The experience from multiple countries and rollout waves now feeds into our ERP and finance-process consulting for non-profits.
